Like all else a language is a structure that has been built up and more clearly defined over history. Thanks to the in-depth research of linguists we have a valuable foundation to refer to. Present day values of a language have been concluded as the following 8 elements.

1. Phonemes: The smallest distinct units of sound in a language. For example, in English, "cat" is made up of the phonemes /k/, /æ/, and /t/.

2. Morphemes: The smallest units of meaning in a language. They can be words or parts of words (affixes) like prefixes and suffixes. For instance, in the word "unintelligible," "un-" and "-ible" are morphemes.

3. Syntax: The rules governing how words and phrases are structured into sentences. Syntax determines the order of words, such as subject-verb-object in English.

4. Grammar: The set of rules that govern how words and sentences are formed and used in a language. This includes rules for tense, gender, number, and more.

5. Semantics: The study of meaning in language. It deals with how words, phrases, and sentences convey meaning and how people interpret and understand language.

6. Vocabulary: The collection of words and their meanings in a language. A language's vocabulary can be extensive and constantly evolving.

7. Pragmatics: The study of how context influences the interpretation of language. It considers factors like tone, context, and the speaker's intentions in communication.

8. Writing System: Some languages have a writing system that uses symbols or characters to represent sounds or words. Examples include the Latin alphabet used for English and the characters used in Chinese.

These elements combine to form a complex system that allows people to communicate and express their thoughts and ideas through language.

Although, we'd believe comprehension of a language falls much deeper than just the rules listed above, these structures are integral for overall linguistic development.

REMINDERS!

As many of you saw and supported through our socials, last week we took our first trip to the Ed Expo games hosted by the Institution of Education Sciences and the United States Department of Education. This expo exhibited all projects that were funded by our taxpayer dollars to target different aspects of the learning system and create an engaging method of learning outside of the traditional classroom.

We wanted to send out a reminder of a new game to hit the market, so you don't miss the opportunity to play and practice and potentially call out any bugs. You'll need a computer, tablet or phone where you can access the Roblox platform.

This week's feature is ROBO CO., due to the fact that as of TODAY 9/25/2023 they have a beta testing launch on the Roblox platform.

For those unfamiliar, Beta Testing is basically when a developer and/or designer runs their product commercially to check for any existing functionality or quality issues. We use this period of testing to determine if any debugging is needed before a full product launch.

Comparably, we could consider those never-ending app updates and how often they arise - to us it's standard procedure but for the developers it's their chance to launch something a bit better. For example, did you know Apple Inc. requires app developers to keep apps up to date. They work with developers and ensure any deprecated features, frameworks or technologies that will no longer be supported in future versions of an OS are phased out. These methodologies are used as strengthening agents to keep the product not only growing with technology but providing a higher quality product to their end users.

Monday 9/25/23, this game will go live for the week. They mentioned the full launch of the game will run October 16, 2023, and on. Robo Co is a STEM and Robotics game where you can build custom robots to perform different tasks. If this game is a product you (because games aren't just for kids) or the youth in your life may enjoy. Be sure to let us know if you give it a try too.

Have fun and play well.

'Ellllllllllllllloooooooooooo Loves!

As many of you saw and supported through our socials, this week we took our first trip to the Ed Expo games hosted by the Institution of Education Sciences and the United States Department of Education. This expo exhibited all projects that were funded by our taxpayer dollars to target different aspects of the learning system and create an engaging method of learning outside of the traditional classroom.

These games were developed to enhance content learning in Special Education, Science and Engineering, English Language Arts, Early Learning, Math, Health, Social and Behavioral Studies, Social Studies, Careers and Cyber Learning. These games and organizations are reinforcers of the content our kids and the next generation will need in to succeed in the professional world as they get older. Since we, as adults are the keepers of valuable insight for the next generation it's our duty to take them to higher levels. It's a part of our mission to give them a competitive advantage in not just our cities or the nation but in the world.

Fun Fact: At a minimum, 500 of the fortune 500 and most competitive companies are global. Which moves our talent pool to an incredibly large and competitive market.

So, this is one way I bring you added value: we now have exposure to some of this market and these competitive games that could play a part in our growth/development. Across the Next couple of weeks, we are going to introduce a few of the highly competitive finds.
